DAWSON BRISCOE
Dawson Briscoe is a logo and brand designer based out of Peace River, Alberta. After receiving his Graphic Communications Certificate from NAIT in the spring of 2019, Dawson began working full-time in his hometown of Peace River as a Graphic Designer & Print Operator at Peace Sign & Graphics, where he still works today.
In the early years at PSG, Dawson gained invaluable, hands-on experience producing signs and decals on industry standard print equipment. From computer screen to business card, billboard, and everything in between, Dawson learned the paramount purpose a graphic designer has in ensuring the finished product always does its job how it's supposed to and where it's supposed to. Whether it is a safety sign on a work site or a company's logo on its home page, it needs to be designed decisively so it can say what it's intended to say. It is with these intentions that Dawson's design decisions are guided so that the final result is effective on or off the screen, both visually and legibly.
Over his 6+ years as a graphic designer, Dawson has taken his knowledge and rebranded and revitalized many businesses and organizations around him, including Peace Sign & Graphics, the North Peace Navigators, and the Peace River Curling Club. Although every logo project is distinctly unique, they always share a leader(s) with a passion for what they do and who they do it for. For this reason, Dawson takes the utmost pride in creating visual identities that reflect an organization or club's endless pursuit of success for themselves, their families, and their community.
